私房俱乐部 University and Allegheny College announce 4+1 graduate pathway in education
New articulation agreement provides accelerated route to master鈥檚 degrees in Secondary Education and Special Education.

私房俱乐部 University and Allegheny College have announced a new articulation agreement that creates an accelerated pathway for Allegheny鈥 College鈥 students to earn graduate degrees in education at 私房俱乐部.
The agreement establishes a 4+1 program allowing qualified Allegheny鈥 College鈥 students to complete a bachelor鈥檚 degree at Allegheny and then earn a Master of Science in Secondary Education (MSSE) or Master of Science in Special Education (MSSPED) from 私房俱乐部 in approximately one additional year.
Through the partnership, eligible students with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA from Allegheny鈥 College鈥 will receive guaranteed admission consideration to 私房俱乐部鈥檚 graduate education programs. Students begin graduate coursework during the summer following their graduation from Allegheny鈥 College鈥 and complete the master鈥檚 degree the following summer.

Under the agreement, certain Allegheny鈥 College鈥 education courses may count toward graduate requirements at 私房俱乐部 when students earn a grade of B or higher, allowing participants to enter the program with advanced standing.
鈥淎llegheny鈥 College鈥 students interested in careers in education will benefit from this streamlined route to professional licensure and graduate study,鈥 said Celia Cook-Huffman, provost and dean of the faculty at Allegheny College. 鈥淭his collaboration strengthens the academic connections between our institutions while providing our students with an efficient path鈥媤ay鈥 to advanced credentials.鈥
Students enrolled in the program will complete their undergraduate degree at Allegheny鈥 College鈥 before enrolling in 私房俱乐部鈥檚 graduate program. Participants must also meet requirements for the Pennsylvania teacher certification, including passing the appropriate PRAXIS II examinations and completing required clearances during the program.
The agreement will be reviewed every five years and supports ongoing collaboration between the two institutions in advising, recruitment, and program promotion.
