    Originally from Houston, Texas, Alex Woller is a musicologist who specializes in the study of popular music and representations of gender in the genre of blues-rock. Alex has presented original research at meetings of the Society for American Music, the International Association for the Study of Popular Music, and the Popular Culture Association. Alex鈥檚 primary instrument is voice, and he has been in a number of vocal ensembles ranging from the TMEA All-State choir in high school to his most recent participation in the Erie Philharmonic Chorus. Alex has also enjoyed roles in musical theater and opera productions ranging from Pirates of Penzance to Britten鈥檚 A Midsummer Night鈥檚 Dream. When he is not engaging in musical research or performance, Alex likes to spend his time building scale models, homebrewing, and collecting records.
