Sr. Carolyn Herrmann Society

To celebrate the accomplishments of the Sisters of Mercy and commemorate the establishment of the Carpe Diem Society and its founder, Sister Carolyn, Dr. David Livingston announced the renaming of the society to the Sr. Carolyn Herrmann Society at the September luncheon. This society was founded in 1961 as a ‘friend-making and fundraising’ group. Original members were selected by Sister Carolyn as a networking group for the college. These members invited other women to join, and today, the Sr. Carolyn Herrmann Society has a membership of nearly 100 women. Many students have benefited significantly from the generosity and networking of the members of this society. These women continue the vision of Sister Carolyn to be ‘friend-makers’ for ˽·¿¾ãÀÖ²¿ University.
